Eratic idle/rev

Hello fellow Evo'ers

Ok, car has been dormant for a couple of months..

Started her up today took it for a spin and the car idles at between 1000 and 2000 RPM Eratically and very quickly just like your actually blipping the throttle pedal..

Checked everything is plugged in and looks good..can't see any obvious boost/air leaks etc

It's a 97 IV with a 5 engine and turbo..anyone kind enough to possibly help me out as to what to look for/check please guys

bov some time's cause idle prob's? Or maybe the idle controller ?

Has the battery been dead and charged up or was it unplugged?

If so then an idle reset is required.
Disconnect battery.
Reconnect battery.
Start and let idle for 10 min with all electrics on, lights, blower, stereo, heaters, hazards, etc
Continue to idle with no electrics on at all for a further 10 min.
Take for a short blast 10-20 min to sort fuel trims.
All done and should idle correctly
