What colour is the smoke. Does it dissapear when revved or get worse. Has the car been mapped since the engine went in. Was it all new parts used for the build

Engine has covered around 3000 miles, it's oil smoke! I was thinking turbo but doesn't explain the smoke coming out of spark plug chambers, thinking it may be stem seals?

Was the engine built for you?

Or have you bought a 2nd hand engine?

I'd be getting in touch with whoever you bought it from/who built it.

Hope it's not a ropey 2nd hand engine you've bought :(

Check the O rings as suggested by Mr Norton.

Is the smoke rising through the chambers even when the Plugs are tightened down correctly?

When you remove the Plugs, are the tips covered in oil?

If the O rings are in place and the Plugs are secured correctly, the next step would be compression testing.

It's going to be Piston Rings IMO.
