Engine rattle (valvetrain,heat shield)

I've got this annoying engine rattle sounds like it's coming from the front of the engine! Doesn't increase with rpm just as you let off it's rattles. It might be nothing but thought I'd ask!

It's had a service and there no smokes
Or knocking everything does seem
Fine

iv got an annoying one too on idle, irritating, i was thinking it could be a loose wastegate penny rattling, if i was you id remove the heat shield on the mani and see if anything changed ect

I'm gonna strip the heat shield
Off this weekend but sound likes it coming from
Inside the rocker cover but hard to tell

I've took the heat shield off and also took the rocker cover off at the weekend! Everything looks normal and nothit is loose!

I'm think it could be a rocker/tappet!

i had that exact rattle in my IV there a few months back
i put it off the road for winter end of october
started it for the 1st time mid march, that rattle was there
changed oil an new filter, no change, few days of driving an disappeared,
prob oil had stuck a tappet or something but its gone now

i just got a wastegate rattle on idle or off throttle i think now which is a pain lol

Boom! Done no more rattle !

Was the actuator penny! I took the actuator off completely and gave 1-2mm tension and it's gone!

Word of advice if anyone is wanting todo this buy some extra
E circlips eBay! As it's getting it back on it's a pita! And I dropped the standard one !
