I'm currently in the US and I am going to be station at Lakenheath RAF mid this year. I am by no means new to the evo culture but I'm not familiar with the "smog" regulations in the UK. In the states we have to have our cars sniffed every 2 years so that would mean I had to take off all my mods and put it back to stock in order to pass. I was wondering how strict the emission laws are. I plan on getting an evo 8/9 rs or I think y'all call them gt idk... I have plans on making decent power but I would like to know the restrictions on that first. Thank you for your time and any input would be greatly appreciated!!

You have an MOT test here every year. To make sure it's roadworthy. That's when it's emissions are tested. Most people just refit the cat. But it's possible to find a friendly tester :-SS
