are you having trouble starting the car?

a bit of info on your problem with the fault code is better than just the code

Hi Andy!

Yes, it relates to the Cam Position Sensor buddy.

I agree with Rob, you need to give a little more information on the symptoms buddy. That way, we can offer a little more help.

Also, get a Newbie Thread posted when you have a moment.

sorry guys 1st time lastnite. yeah the car seems to run for a couple of seconds really lumpy then cuts out. it doesn't do this all the time though,it can run fine for 15 min then the engine management light comes on so i pull over and turn it off then get the problems.the 1st time it happened i put my foot down in 3rd at about 60 then at about 80 it coughed/jirked twice and light came on and it just managed to splutter 100 yards into farm opening and died.eventually it started and i got it home, not used it since.any help much appreciated guys, thanx.

Yes its the cam sensor. The heat affects the sensor on start up and it won't register where the cams are and starts then stalls.... I had this before on my 4. It would start cold no problem, Run to shops and let the heat build up, then try and start it and it either wouldn't start at all or start lumpy then stall immediatley

New sensor needed and a heat shield for it is required :p

Front right of rocker cover. Sometimes unplugging it and plugging back in helped.
