has this just started happening or is it after you've had work done on the car?

could be idle control valve need cleaning, lambda sensor failing, poss air leak (these are the common faults for the symptoms)

once sorted, to set the idle you will need to park the stepper motor using evoscan or taking it to a garage with the correct equipment (shouldn't be set just by adjusting the screw on the TB.

Check your hoses buddy I think one of them might be loose or have a slit on it. Get a pair of extra long nose pliers and press each of the hoses, if the thrumping (not sure if it is a word) gets worse then that pipe is ok, eliminate them all like this. When you get to the suspect, the revs will stay the same regardless of it being pressed. Might be worth pulling the plug out of the air flow sensor too but only if you have checked the pipes and had no joy.

Pop it round if you don't have any luck. I might not be in but Raufy will be and you know he knows the sketch!!

It will run better without a naf maf because no signal is better then a wrong signal.

I hope you liked my naf maf bit buddy!!!

I thought it would be that hence the suggestion. Did you check the pipes as I explained??? because if you did not then the maf might not be the only issue, in fact some times it is not the issue at all but helps the pressure loss by auto adjusting the fuelling.

Check what is available on ebay and I will see if my bro has one for you.

Keep me posted buddy.

I'd borrow a maf off someone to try first as its not really a common failure, or you can try cleaning yours.

Forgot to mention that if you drive it with the plug off it will run richer and therefore use more fuel.

He has one and is saying £60 but if you come down then we can try it and if it works then we will see about twisting his harm for a discount. If you have the funds for the Power FC then you will def get a group discount lol!!!!

Either way, I am here for you buddy!
