Well after two years of being a daily driver with 106k on the clock my Tommi Mak engine decided to let go on the duel carriageway, not sure exactly what happened yet but I think I've spun a big end so that's that.
Had a high pitch wine come on just as the turbo started to spool then a bit of a clatter and the engine cut out. Cam belt is intact so I don't think its balance shaft related but now there is a knock and metal fragments in the oil.
I'm going to start stripping it down over the next week to confirm my suspicions and go from there but for the moment I'm trying to make up my mind on what route to take with the rebuild depending on what's salvageable and maybe even just do a complete full restoration at the same time.
Anyone like to throw any ideas at me as to what set up I should go for, I'm thinking a 2.0ltr long rod but can't find where to get a crank from
