Hey guys,,

My evo got 3" from turbo and racecat. Open airfilter...
Installed boost gauge yesterday, in 2nd gear it boosts to 1,2 bar and gets down then to 1 bar.. In 3rd gear it boosts 1,4 and then drops to 1...
When do Evos get fuelcut?? Dont want that shit, thinking of getting MBC, and take boost down to like 1 bar... What should i do?

But damn its fast =)..

I live in sweden, A tuner will take a look at the map but later in August..
I'll be taking out the car for a spinn next week to check boost on all gears,
Haven't tested the car to redline yet, don't want to risk getting fuelcut..
I step off around 5000rpm.. =)

You will notice fuel cut in colder weather, it's the density of the air that does it, just have the car mapped

Std boost is set to 1.2 on an 8.
If your worried about overboosting and hitting fuel cut, then just plumb actuator to turbo directly.
You can test for fuel cut by booting it. You may find you never hit it. Doing it consistently will damage the engine, but once won't. It's there as a safety feature remember...

The boost solenoid duty and offset would need adjusted to compensate for the mods.
Best advice I can give is if your worried about damaging your car put it back to standard then fit the parts and remap it the same day.
