hi anyone tell me the size of the down pipe on a evo7 fq is it 2.75 or is it 3inch i need to buy a new down pipe but i do not know what size to buy cheers ted

The stock one is 2.5" but both sizes you have mentioned will fit

I am sure I gave you a "go for the 3 inch" earlier this afternoon:confused:

Make sure you confirm with them that they are talking about the inner diameter though. If the outer diameter is 3 inch then the pipe will have an inner diameter of 2.75" so you will get messed around more or less.

i bought a decat pipe it said it was 3inch pipe i fitted it to my car but the front part is leaking that butts up to the down pipe but the back one is ok i have no idea why it does not seem to be the right size it said in the advert that it would fit a evo 7 fq

Have you used a gasket on the side that connects to the flexi section and was it lined up correctly when tightened???

If it does not fit then the best way around it is not by buying a 3" downpipe, it is by taking it up with the seller.

You will get more power with a 3" down pipe but is it something you want to do or just something you now must do to cure a problem that has occurred due to a part that is not up to scratch???

Send the decat back and get a 2.75 inch one. That'll sort it right out.
