down pipe recommendations

Hi all. As per the title really ive already got blitz nur spec cat back but im looking for a down pipe for my 260 and didnt wanna buy crap lol thanks

They are normally all good std. its the manifolds that suffer more from crap workmanship. As they take more work to achieve.
Just make sure its to fit your 260 and not a std 8...

I recently bought a Scorpion one for my 5 and its lying off the car just now and it will need chopped, welded or bent to fit as it was no where near and after sending it back to them they just said it fitted their jig and sent it back to me.
I ordered it when I had my new turbo and other bits fitted and it arrived just before mapping so I need another tweak when I can make the junk fit.
The worst bit is I refused a Japspeed one and a Toyosports one second hand before I spent extra for it as I was worried they might not fit.

Sorry to hear that mate. Was it the turbo that made the orientation different? Or just poor workmanship on thier part?

It was just an Evo 9 turbo from Ross sport so not that just the wrong shape.

And I always thought scorpion was a good make and can be expensive do you no anyone with a tig welder who could sort it for you?

I thought the same.
I had a wanted ad up for one on MLR and as I said was offered other ones but was scared they wouldn't fit, it wasn't until last minute before the re map I thought if I splash out more £ on the Scorpion one at least it would fit.
I was a bit sick at the time as I had bought a few other bits before the re map to get the best out of it.
I will be able to get it welded but I'm in no panic, with my old turbo being weak it was only making 1 bar so I've went from 280bhp to 360 so I'm enjoying that difference for now but will get it sorted and another couple of bits together and get a tweak to the map when I need more

Not bad at all that. tbh im looking for that sort of power myself but only got mine last Saturday and not sure whats been done and what aint. I no its got a blitz nur spec cat back, boost cotroller, the intercooler is black so not sure as I thought they where left unpainted. Its got hard pipe and samco hoses but need to dig further I think.

Surely if you've replaced the exhaust. Have a decat. Then any evo 8 downpipe will fit?

Not sure mate but thought it was the angle of the turbo elbow that was different so in that case no. as the issue is the top flange of the down pipe unless anyone knows better.
