Hi everyone I'm currently rebuilding my evo 4 to what I would say to be at a high standard with many man hours already put in. Am I waisting my money and time on somthing that will always be at around 3-4k or do you think they will eventually go up in value

Im not just talking the iv I mean do you think any of them will increase in value at some point. Your thoughts?

I think the 1 2 3 will go sky high in years to come as there wasn't many made but the importing has stopped now so I guess the 4s will become rare.
When you look at escort mk 1 and 2 modified or not the values high (not the same but still iconic in their own right) so I think modified or original you should be on to a winner ;) it just may take a while.

Right let me tell you a story! Way back in 1998 I bought a 1988 lancia delta Integrale that basically needed alot of love like most 10 year old lancia's did at that age!

I purchased the car for £3000 which was a German import that had been in the uk for around 3years!

Now I had that car for best part of 5 years and spent around £9000 on it,And then sold it for £5000.

Now if I had still got the grale today it would be worth around £12-15k and I do think the early evo's ie: 3/4/5&6 will go the same way!

Lancia delta intergrale evo 2 on piston heads at the moment for £45k

Early WRC competitive evo's will eventually be big bucks, especially as numbers are on the decrease with so many being broken for parts :(

I believe they will go up in value at some point - as long as they get looked after when it comes to sell them later in life you'll have a sort after car !
Barr in mind cheap after market parts won't do you any favors

They might, they might not :) It all depends on how future generations view the car. There are lots of old cars worth big money, and lots of old cars worth scrap. If you could predict what was going to be of value in the future then you'd be a millionaire. People build careers around speculating on what will become valuable.

If there are any evos that will become valuable I'd say the VI (esp the TME with red livery) has a chance. Not so much the others. A car needs some form of history or character and if you take your owner's goggles off, evos are just cheap 'n' cheerful jap imports.

Spot on that Aidy!

If I had known the Integrale would be so sort after now and so valuable I wouldn't of sold the 3 I owned:arms:

Oh well some you win and some you lose but I won't lose any sleep over it as it all adds to lifes story book.
