As stated above, the other day after work the clutch pedal started to oscillate, when letting off and accelerating. Removed the inspection bung on the gearbox and got my dad to press the clutch pedal and could see the flywheel moving. Just got in the house aftet removing the sump and crankshaft cradle and pulled the thrus washers out and cannot see any excessive wear or size difference to the new ones i have bought. The rest of the bearings look fine, no scores etc but then also noticed that my gearbox bell housing has a crack around where the dowel is on the front of the box and the bolt is long gone! Any ideas apart from waiting till i get to work and measure the thrust washers which a micrometer. Im pretty sure that the only thing thats stops the crank moving is are the thrust washers, please correct if i am wrong. Also there were no noises and the oil is clear from metal fillings etc. thanks
