hi everyone im new to here. ive been doing a bit of research and found out that its possible and supposedly fairly simple to fit an evo engine into a colt providing it is of a similar year. i was just wondering if any of you have done this conversion before and basically whats involved? i was also wondering if the 4x4 running gear can be installed and if so whats intailed? cheers

Ive seen a colt with an evo engine but no idea how hard it was.
Ive also seen a ford ka with escort cosworth engine and running gear so anything is possible!

Hi, just stumbled across this, i realize it was a long time ago. but if anybody is interested in how its done, me and a few others have done a few Evo-Colts and all info is @ Coltuk.org along with pictures, how to's and i do believe there are 1 or 2 half finished projects for sale

it basically involved a fwd->4x4 conversion and a whole nose job. a bit of body work around the arches but i'm telling you, its well worth it!
