Clutch Issues - Evo X

Had the car 4months, done 1400miles and mainly driven just to and from work and at 19k miles the clutch has gone. The car is currently at Mitsubishi where the managers are currently discussing about whether they will cover it under warranty but it doesn't sound promising...2k bill :/

Whoever the previous owner was clearly was a hard driver and I am paying the price. I have a few questions though:

Should a clutch on a Evo X really be on its way out after just 19k miles?

Does anyone know of any common issues with clutches associated with the Evo X?

If they refuse to replace it under warranty there is no way I am getting them to do it, I will replace it with an upgraded one. I am after a better clutch than a standard one but not a racing one. Does anyone know the best place to find one?

On here will be able to supply and fit with out the 2k price tag I'm sure. If the previous owners was as you say givin it a hard life yes 19 k isn't a bad shout you can screw a clutch on only a handful of miles with dodgy launches
