Cat help needed

Just picked up my Evo 8 260 from the garage as the engine management light was on and they told my both of my cats need replacing. :sad:

i am an evo noob :blush: so was hoping someone can recommend some good cats that will boost performance and still get me through the emissions tests for the MOT?

any help is greatly appreciated.

Not having a cat will not put engine light on. Lots of people just remove them

Thanks, I did consider the de-cat option, however can't face the hassle of putting them back in for the MOT.

Your point raises a question. if not having cats will not put the engine light on could my issue been misdiagnosed or would broken cats put the engine light on?
