Ideally you swap from a pair off a known good car

ok thanks will try the one's off my mate's 7. Weird it got worst with a smaller gap on the plugs? Does that point the leads then?

if you go too small I guess the spark fires but doesn't ignite the mixture properly too, have you tried a new set of plugs gapped at 0.55mm?

no mate i'll pop in your's tomor morning and grab some and go from there i think. If what don't work i'll have to grab some leads at some point but start with the plugs. Thanks for your help!
