Car is after getting skittish in the rear. Feels like it's driving on ice in wet

Started happening aces days ago and is getting worse. I know that the shock needs changing but would that effect up and down movement and not side to side ? My buddy thinks that the wishbone bushings might be goosed and that's my problem. It's extremely dangerous so I'm not driving until Monday when I get my coilovers and bush set installed. Hopefully that will fix it.

Has anyone encountered something like this before?

Sounds like Bushes to me buddy.

A thorough check of the Suspension / Linkages / Joints / Bushes will reveal the culprit soon enough.

Distorted Strut Top Mounts can have a similar effect, especially when coupled with one or more Bush.

Yea when I bought me last evo driving it home!
Bloody hegdefinders fitted on the rear how did I miss that!!!
Goodyear eagles fixed that , cheap rubber is deadly
