Hi guys im going to look at an evo 8 on wednesday spec is as per below

evo 8 260 2004 54 plate
Upgraded cams
ECU remapped
Upgraded clutch (just fitted)
De-cat pipe (still have down pipe)
AVRC boost contol set up
Stainless steel exaust

I was just wondering if you guys could give me a hand on telling me what i should look out for? common problems and signs of abuse

Also what sort of power these engines can take without the need for intrnal upgrades? and if with the above mds would there be any fueling issus (lean/rich)

also th first thing i would like to do is fit the bigger spoilr that came on the fq300 models, do these bolt in or sealed in? also lowering would like to drop the gap betwen the wheels a bit and improve the aggresive looks, tei8n lowring springs?

Welcome!
When buying these are like any high performance car really. You have to just check for signs of abuse. Smoke etc.
Clutch and breaks are consumable but quite expensive. Service history is key. Every 4500 miles!
