hi mate ive just changed the ones on my car evo viii fq330 and ive gone for yellow stuff and they are spot on,they no longer advertise this as a racing pad as they have changed the compound of the pad.that squeek is usually caused by not having the little shims between your piston and the pad so the pad moves round ever so slightly in the caliper.

This is a contuness squeek 4 as long as in breakin heavy breaking it don't do it but when light breaking at low speed its a nightmare.

When I looked at the pads that are on there there was no metal plate or shimms just a rubber pad on the rear of the break pad is that not the same thing as the shimms

the squeeking is the brake pads itself.

if there was no shims it may click when braking, meaning the pads are slightly loose in the caliper housing & the metal plate got nothing to do with the squeeking.

change to a better set of pads & your sorted'

i have some mintex competition ones with the ap rotors, they are good for stopping! but are a hard compound so squeal at low speed is a trade off for performance!
