Hi guys, i've just registered on here looking for some help. I dont have a n Evo, i have an Astra GSi. However, i've just put some Recaro buckets in, from a Evo 8. Or thats what i was told they came from. They look pretty similar to Evo ones. Here's a pic.

The problem is, the winding mechanism for reclining the seat, on the passenger seat, isn't working. You can turn the winder, but the seat doesn't move. As my Astra is a 3dr, i'm wishing to get this peraired as quickly as i can. I'm confident enough to have a go myself, but i've never had anything to do with seats, so i don't know how i should go about it, or what i'm looking for.
I was just hoping to find some info from any of you who might have had the same kind of problem, and have had to have their seats fixed.

Also, the passenger seat has a winder handle on both sides of the seat, but the driver side seat only has one on the left hand side, and is quite tight to get at it down between the seat and the centre console. I was wondering if i can take that handle off, and put it on the right hand side?

Yeah i've tried Googling for the likes of Recaro seat repair fix overhaul, and all the likes, and can't really seem to find any thing related to the actual mechanism as such. There's a few i've found about replacing the seat bolsters on recaro seats, but i'm not sure it gives enough info on how the mechanism might come apart.
