Speaking from experience mate the 4 is a good looking car but alas the engine is poor, my original engine gave up the ghost when the crank gave out doing around 70mph and I was pretty miffed as I wanted to try and keep it as standard as poss. I went for an e6 lump and have not looked back since apart from the torque slip on the clutch as I left that standard:whistling: All total it cost me £1900 for engine and fitting.

Bought Evo IV two years ago, reg oil changes and alot of tlc, no probs at all, apart from NGK plugs that were newly fitted and one decided to fall apart in engine. (ouch) but that was not the cars fault, but one dodgy plug uuurrrrrrrrr lol
