Ok the story so far,
Last year the rear diff went on my 5, before this there were no noises, no knocking, no whining, no anything.
I had a low milage 8 doff put on as a replacement and had all the diff bushes replaced with poly bushes.
Since then I have barely driven the car but started using it again at the begging of this month.
I now have some real bad knocking, some whining and groaning.
I just put the car up on the jack and tried to find the cause, I was pretty shocked at what I did find so could do with someone who knows their stuff advise me on what the prob is.

Any help much appreciated, suffice to say the car is officially off the road until these issues are sorted.
