6 speed gearbox

Hi, I'm in the middle of changing my bell housing on evo 8.
I've got the donor box split, no problem. But can't get mine to separate ,it's opened about an inch ,seems to be something holding ,and don't want to break anything , any suggestions would be great.THANKS
