Depends what you mean by free speech. If you mean the right to speak about government or religion without fear of persecution then yes its a good idea. If you are trying to imply you have been wronged by being told to drop a certain issue in a private arena, then im afraid you need to read up on the freedom of speech.

i think it is a good thing... freedom of speech etc.

i like to say what i think so people know where they stand, albeit i always give a customary glance around (especially at work) because some people just dont want to hear things even if they know they are in the wrong.
