It does help but only a tiny bit buddy.

As the rep counter is formulaic, it is based on other things too which I have explained before and can't be asked to get into right now.

I will dig up the previous post in which I explained it all and post up a link over here if you are all really interested.

I am not sure if you had 5 a couple of days ago as when I last checked, which was a couple of days ago, you had just the 1 and have been sitting at 1 for a couple of months! :whistling: :whistling: :whistling:

Seeing as you're all well interested and asking so nicely:

Lee is the top man on the Forum when it comes to pulling in Newbies!!!

This count is increased when a Newbie joins up and lists an existing member in the "referred by" Bar.

I have never bothered to tell Newbies that I have referred to the site to add my name in the box but if you do, it will add to your REP POWER!

So, as it stands right now:

Lee is the top man
Geof is in second place but only because his referral was logged before Gaz joined up, so with that in mind, both Gaz & Geof are joint second! :whistling: :whistling: :whistling:

That is why I warned you about WOOTing nilly willy Tom! :whistling: :whistling: :whistling:

It does not make much of a difference if everyone is getting WOOTed randomly as it becomes harder for everyone to increase their REP:

For instance, if you have 100 members and only 3 or so are getting WOOTed, those 3 members will see an increase in their REP.

If you have the same amount of members and quite a few of them are getting WOOTed, it will take a lot longer for individual members REP's to increase as the formula used to calculate REP POWER will spread it around so it becomes thinned out i.e, divided between the members involved.

That is why you will sometimes see a pop-up requesting that you spread the REP around!
