Well it turned up over a week ago. Turns out its a modified evo 8 casing rather than a 9 which has given me a few issues with actuators and j pipes. From the spec its meant to be a serious worked housings both cover and hot side, should flow more air than the fp did. billet wheels to improve response.

Came with two short studs to bolt the manifold too, replaced them with two studs from the fp as they were longer. Was missing a thread for one bolt. Race tech did offer to tap but too much hassle with courier so sorted it myself.

Few pics.. Hopefully get it on the car over the weekend. Have to use the j pipe off the fp for the time and see about getting a hks j pipe. Not sure on actuator yet, aftermarket would be better, less work for the evc then.

Need a 4-6 rad to solve the problem. It would be more right then and away from the mani

4-6 has a better rad than the 7-9 ;) stupid place for the inlet if you ask me.

Cheers mate, hopefully find that out in time.

Only thing is getting something to stop any rust, should of thought about that first.

bit of an update on this

turbo has been back out, sprayed up the manifold to stop an rust appearing on the flanges. Also got hold of a 8 HKS J pipe ( now become a very rare part) and Forge actuator. Still not happy with the cheap eblow and need a rad but it is coming together.

Do think the race tech manifold sits slight further out from the engine than stock.. intercooler pipe is very close to the bottom rad mount.

Cheers, not sure if you go stock or fit aftermarket.

Wouldn't mind a forge one but way to much for a rad lol.

I have the exact same race tech mani and stock frame turbo fitment that you have and it clears it with no issue, you can have the top pipe as well if you want it's only an old one but will sort you out until you get a new one
