Cars ****ed maybe time to say good bye !

It was the bottom end, rolled a shell! Need new rods pistons and crank! Due to the rods I supplied . Spent far to much money on it any ready now this! Mite strip it to get some money back . All what happen(first time round) was a pulley fell off should of just got that fixed as my old bottom end had no walk, now I've spent £££'s to make it stronger and after 80 odd miles its ****ed! Gutted ain't the word!

Spun a bearing because of a rod you supplied??? But didn't you supply it to a reputable Evo specialist who have built engine after engine? Surely they checked everything was in tolerance and any issues such as chances of spinning was run past you before they put it together.....

I would say if the car isn't costing you anything to keep then keep it and get a later engine after some saving and get some monies back from AT

New rod caused the bearing to spin? I think not, lack of lubrication more like, either down to build issues or oil pump failure

Looks like the rod's I got from trl may of done this before and it was covered up? Chris done over 500 miles with out a prob, thing is I didn't swap the engine for a newer one coz I thought it would be be a 8-13 year old engine with 60k say and could break straight away and I'll have to rebuild it, so I got a 6 block 8 internals every thing else new would have a good safe engine with no worrys of it walking and able to put more power thorough it! I ain't got 1500 for a new engine(which I could of done in the first place) and this build would of been worthless) or money to rebuild, should of forge it, so don't really know where to go from here?

All clearances should have been checked prior to build even with second hand parts!! And then resized to suit, even if the rod was to blame it should have been noticed on build as being out of spec, not just lobbed in with new bearings!

This is my point too it's basics that seem to have been overlooked or they have baffled you with science as to what the real failure was

He might have covered 500 miles without issue but this was the breaking in mileage so careful driving.

Hope you get it sorted, ultimately on a fresh build they are liable unless you have dumped the oil and took for a drive its not like a map where they can argue this that and the other, and unforeseen circumstances, they have built an engine and it should work, you may have supplied a part and if it was within tolerance there would be no issue, so if they have checked it and put it in then it wasn't to blame for it spinning. There is another issue I would say,
