Someone from the other side just passed me this link!

I was aware that Cossie1 was going to put his Evo through the motions today but had completely forgotten to find out from him as to how he had done.

My prediction was that his times would be around the mid 10's but apparently he could not get the beast to hold the road:mad:

The final time was a good result none the less and knowing him, he probably had a boot full of tools  :whistling: :whistling: :whistling:

Any way, here is the link:

Ahh cheers El.

It was filmed at Shakespeare county raceway (long marsden near stratford).

As El said, I just couldn't get the power down as well as i'd have liked.

My first run I got it off the line ok, bit of wheelspin, but then missed 2nd gear, and ended up with an 11.7 @ 130mph.

2nd run again off the line ok, slight wheelspin, and then missed 4th (trying to shift too quickly),so got an 11.5 @ 125mph.

3rd run, WAYYYY to much wheelspin (sideways off the line) but didn't fluff the changes :) but ended up with a slower time than missing 4th gear 11.6 @ 127mph

4th run was my last, got it off the line ok, didn't miss any gears, and picked up an 11.2 @ 129mph.

The car is running full interior, had the spare wheel in the boot, jack, wheel brace etc, full halfrauds tool kit and had over 1/2 tank of fuel in her too.

Also the car was running standard road tyres (225/40/18 falken FK452's),some R888's or Slicks would have worked SOOO much better.

So overall i'm happy, but it would have been nice to have a "10 second car" I guess lol.

I think to get it into the 10's I either need to drive it like I stole it and just ram it into gear, or fit some slicks.

You!!!

I'm disapointed now Geof, i'm sure I could have got your car into the 10's, as it wouldn't be my gearbox I would have been wrecking by raming it into each gear as hard and as fast as I could :D
