5 speed box conversion prices?

I'm getting to the point where a 5 speed box may be needed in my ix as it seems the more I read and hear from people the more it seems on borrowed time , th car is 530 ish bhp now and think mayb that should be the next thing to do ? Can any1 give me a price on supplying and fitting a 5 speed box with the 4:11 drive with all the cables and bits needed ? nice 1 : )

Just delivered my car today for the very same thing. Im 530hp map 1 570hp map 2

Give or take including the box, cables ,installation,centre consul and 411 drive with the box being fully rebuilt and the gears all having a super finish treatment then your talking £2000.

Its on my FQ 8 MR

It does say New gearbox on invoice. Not sure if that means brand new or recon.

Wouldn't the car be restricted to 150 mph without the 4:11 ?

I believe so hence that's why I'm having the 411. Don't forget I'm also having a full box build and super finished gears within that price!

I wouldn't want to put 570hp through a standard already used box !

It's EM Developments in Aylesbury Bucks. The old box is yours to keep. I can ask him if he can do another. He already had a 260 5 speeder box in stock. Think he's got some more !

yes but on the other hand you get a big drop in power on change from 4th to 5th with a 4.11. i suppose the question has to be asked what the car is being used for and how it will be driven. my car is a pure track car and sprint car, there not really any track s in the uk where you will find a straight that will allow you to hit top speed in either box
the way i look at things is if your like me and wont pay mega £££ for a dog box, the weak point of any evo is the gearbox, i leave mine as mitsi made it on the basis when it goes its cheaper to replace, there is a huge variation in the 5 speed boxes though i.e short rs, gsr etc. when a box lets go on me i get it replaced at around £500 but if i had to buy a box and then get a 4.1 fitted it may be around £1500 each time it lets go, then your not far of the cost of getting a dog box

Lots to think about now . Part of me thinks just a stronger 5 speed would be enough , but u know for a fact , mr cocky bollocks will drive past me on the motorway in his 100k plus car and look at me with that smug look , and all I'm goin to want to do is sit with this guy at high speed until he drops out when he relizes evos ain't a push over ... Lol no what I mean : )
