Claying is one of the most rewarding bits of cleaning a car for me. I love it, but I am sad like that.
If you were closer I'd give you a hand job :whistling::whistling::whistling:

what sort of site do you think this is :disgusted::disgusted::p:p:p:p

What's the difference between using clay and say... Autosmart tardis ? :)

Tardis is for tar removal but its used for loads more than that, you can use it as a cleaner to remove all the nasties.

rinse car first, wash then tardis or rinse,tardis,wash,tardis...rinse both with plenty of water but don't forget if you tardis you need to polish/seal or wax (depending on your preference ) as it eats wax !

I've yet to try claying. Need to be shown or see how it's done first :)

Need to get me a new ez detail wheel brush. My wheels are in a right state

Yea I'd only use it when the car is getting the full treatment :)

Just thinking surly if it takes tar off then it will get rid of most nasties so do I really need to clay ? :)

mmmm the force is strong you ....young padawan that I sense strongly .......but beware of the dark side Lee .....dont be a lazy UCKA !!!

the tardis won't get rid of all those lovely piece of hot tyre or tarmac that has made its way on to the body of your car as you tear the arse out of it around Bath !!!

Give your paint work a feel and use the force to feel any nasties in the paint then

spray the tardis, agitate it a bit with a soft brush or even an old wash mitt if you really want to be girly. Give it a min, then rinse off with plenty of water .

Now feel the paint ...it will feel smoother but not smooth enough ...those little nasties are where the clay comes in.Just remember always lube up the surface (this rule is not just for claying Lee) and keeping kneading the clay so you don't add scratches......when the clay is too dirty or starts to dry up and break away then time for a new bit of clay.

Lee take a weekend out of your busy schedule and get it done my cars on axle stands at the mo with all 4 wheels off ...proper good clean I did two arches yesterday and doing another two today then onto the fun ....clay and get my D/A out or the rotary depends how brave I am ...although to be fair I won't need too much just a fresh up of the paint .

Well yesterday the weather wasn't to bad so I decided to test out my new products.

Only tried them out on the boot but was dead impressed.
Washed and dried, dodo juice lime prime, poor boys black hole glaze and topped off with dodo juice purple haze wax.

Still need to do the whole car including clay etc.

This is a pic of me peering over the spoiler.

Masking is not that bad tbh but the prep before you polish is where the effort comes in but worth the effort BIG TIME !
