Have the above, blew the turbo anyone know of reliable trustworthy used parts dealer mit want 1070+vat. Bit strapped the now need to buy second hand.

Hey man.. welcome to the forum. i know someone that can get loads of turbos, i bought a mint 8 mr one off him a few weeks back.. think he has some for £500 at the moment (believe there evo 9 ones)

e-mailed mitsubishi they said must be a t.m. or there will be a lot of lag and loss of boost as the t.m. shaft & fins were made of ***anium

tbh though mate, mitsi will tell you anything to get a sale.. what bhp you running? ill ask some people in the know and will get back to you, as i really dont think it has to be a tommy one

Edit... Also is it a gsr or rs? as ive been told there different turbo's.. if you wanna keep things standard you need a t.m.e, but if its standard youd get away with a different turbo and a good map

Yer you may notice a small drop but if you get it mapped at the same time as getting it fitted (whic you will need anyway) you should pretty much get that all back and have a lot more beer tokens left over!

got it looked at eventually turbos fine could anyone come up with the reason for all the smoke from bonnet vents and exhaust never done it since and is going perfect it has a two stage blitz boost which is also working fine
