Default evo windscreen

trying to figure out why my windscreen has cracked twice in the same spot! from the bottom up! any ideas peeps

nah car aint bin in accident, just seems strange thought it mite have been jus an unlucky stone adventure but i culdnt c any chips (and no there wasnt any fish either) lol

when you get screen replaced
when its out check for any broken welds on double skin screen sits on in the area of the crack

that sounds like a good idea will do think ive jus got my hands on nuva screen aswel £90 not bad for a evo1 windscreen! thanks

hi there a mate of mine had the same (not on a evo) it was where the weld had broken just a bit hardly noticeably at the bottom as well

well i rung up old matey who fitted my last windscreen, and he reckons ive got surface rust under the top of the window on both corners and that culd be y anuva window has sufferd, any1 got any ideas how to fix the problem if it is that???

yes.
its very rare to get rust there. if there is rust there then this was because your window sill had a weak rubber seal causing water to trap there & eventually rust up.
most likely that is you problem & can occur again if not fixed propley.
its a bodyshop man's job. you got to rub it down, primer & prep it then spary over with using an underseal sort of protection coating.
this should do the trick. let us know the outcome'

would i be able to just paint it wiv normal paint surely thats rust proof??
