Default Age Restrictions

Hey there this may sound like a silly question to use but I am 20 and wanting to buy and insure an evo 4 but alot off companies are refusing insurance. Is there a certain age you have to be to drive an evo! Have got 1 year no clams but 3 years driving experience from bikes!

Any help be much appreciated Ryan

Hi,

Insurance companies may impose a age restriction and I would shop around myself.

Some have a mininum of 21 and others 25.

Regards.

Hi Ryan, have you tried companies such as Keith Micheals or Pace Ward, I know alot of people of a young age that own the evo, its time and patience to find the right insurance

Good Luck

You could always get a parent to insure it, then if you get another little cheap motor and go fully comp, youll be insured to drive it. youll only be covered by 3rd party fire and theft though, and you'd also have to be sure that your insurance company allows you to drive other cars

Some insurance companies are removing the part that allows you to drive another car under 3rd party.

Better off starting your own policy.

i would say your going to struggle to insure a car thats over group 18 till your over 25. If you do find some where expect to pay what you would for the car sorry but your classed as the highest risk.

I think you have to be over 25 yrs at least, best thing to do is get parent to insure and get you put on as a named driver until your at the required age.
