I recently bought a Pharos Drive GPS 150, which was on sale for $150 which is a pretty good deal.

Overall it works okay but on occasion it freezes up and I have to restart. I'm thinking about getting a top of the line GPS. Whats considered the best navigation system?

I give the cheap as chips Tom Tom Ones out to the engineers. Cost me about £150. Pretty basic but do the core job of pointing plumbers in the right direction lol

Correct, get a cheap one and if it gets nicked (no pun intended :)) then its only a few quid to get replaced.

For the price of a decent sat nav, id get an Android based phone (mine is HTC Desire) comes with google navigation, can install trapster for your speed traps etc

I think that Quiet Storm must have been through a couple by now seeing as the post is 2008!

RallySlag, at least your keeping busy buddy:D

I have had the NavMan Euro for a couple of years now and it is a good piece of kit which gets me everywhere and comes with free Traffic Master and Auto Plotter.

These days there are many phones that offer the service and I heard a couple of weeks back that Nokia are giving away free GPRS with every new phone too.

Start a new thread buddy, I am sure you have much to offer the Forum;)

I would recommend Garmin nuvi 265WT. If you're new to GPS navigation, this is a great option because the Nuvi 265WT is easy to use and very reliable. If you've had one for a while and it's time to get another one for whatever reason, with no subscription fees and reasonable price, you can't go wrong. There are so many different types of personal navigation devices on the market it can be tough to choose, but Garmin has done a great job to balance the options giving you everything you need to find wherever you need to go.
