R spec 3 port boost solenoid

Away to fit one of these R spec 3 port boost solenoids, was looking for some help

1. It has two wires but they are not marked positive or negative, can they be connected any way or should It be live to live negative to negative? if so which is which?

2. do I need to take the t piece out of the oe boost/vacume pipe by the turbo? the r spec instructions says one goes to actuator and the other goes to an intake boost pipe, looking at the oe pipes one comes from the intake pipe between air flow meter and turbo and the other is from actuator to turbo compressor side joined by a t piece? should i just take one from the actuator strait to solenoid and the other from the turbo compressor side to solenoid ?

any help or pictures appreciated :hm:

The wires dnt matter just connect any old way. A pipe should come from j-pipe into solenoid and out of solenoid to actuator

So you can wire it up any which way? Being that the solenoid is on a spring and the electrical current moves the solenoid valve open? Wouldn't an opposite current not force it closed instead?

Any one got a picture of this fitted?

you can see the t piece in this turbo for sale on ebay a pipe comes off of this onto oe solenoid then a pipe comes from the turbo inatake pipe between air flow and turbo, to oe solenoid?

so where should these pipes go with the r spec solenoid?

J pipe, is that the boost pipe out of the turbo (black in the picture) then do away with t piece then a pipe strait from actuator to solenoid

Yup wire it either way

yeah, its getting a remap in the next few weeks

I will leave it disconnected until the remap gets done, I was planning ahead so their is not too much messing about fitting it on the day it gets mapped
